There are nearly 9,000 children in foster care in Washington state. Even in foster care, these children face social, emotional and academic hurdles. Treehouse, a Washington non-profit, provides “access to the academic and essential supports [foster children] equally deserve to be successful in school and in life.”
This holiday season, Impinj employees came together to invest in the well-being and happiness of local foster children though a charity drive to benefit Treehouse.
‘Pinjers donated to Treehouse in several ways, including fulfilling the gift wishes of a child and providing donations toward field trips and haircuts. The Finance and Accounting team proved it’s never too cold for ice cream by creating a mobile ice cream trolley that helped spread the word around the office about Treehouse.
All told, Impinj employees raised more than five thousand dollars in gifts and donations to help Treehouse spread holiday cheer to foster children. ‘Pinjers were cheery too as they banded together to drive donations. After all, what are the holidays really about if not a friendly competition between co-workers – especially for the benefit of others.
